Halloween

We started our Halloween festivities by driving up to the Oakland temple to walk around. It was really foggy when we got there. If you squint you can see the temple through the fog. It was cool and creepy looking all at the same time which I thought was appropriate for the holiday.Grace was kickin it and enjoying the views (or what you could see through the fog)
The weather cleared up a little later so we took a few pictures.I love Gracie's halloween outfit she would have worn it all day...but this happened when we got home...
I wanted to go to a pumpkin patch with Aaron and Gracie, solely to take pictures. To be honest i didn't even want a pumpkin. There was a pumpkin patch just down the street from us so we headed over there. You had to pay money just to get into the pumpkin patch. What? Just because there was an inflatable tiger slide thing they wanted me to pay to go into the pumpkin patch. I decided to nix that idea. We headed over to the grocery store and all their pumpkins were gone. Finally we went to OSH (which is a hardware type store like Lowe's) and there was one pumpkin sitting outside. We went in and asked if they were selling it. The manager looked kind of confused and said that we could just have it. Take that stupid pumpkin patch. I got a free pumpkin. Granted, i'm pretty sure the pumpkin stem was growing mold, but it served its purpose. Here is our "pumpkin patch" picture.
We got Gracie decked out in her costume from her Grandee and Grandpa and headed over to our friends house.
We ate some eyeball minestrone with orange colored homemade bread and watched a scary movie.
We finished off the night with homemade donuts... they were fabulous.
It was a wonderful Halloween!

Your pumpkin patch experience kinda sounds like mine! haha. My Walmart picture had to suffice. I love Grace's outfit. Too bad babies go thru about 3 outfits a day...

Score on your free pumpkin! Seriously... who charges to get into the pumpkin patch?!

Sounds like a stellar day (minus the blow-out) and I'm jealous of those home made donuts and the fun company! Hope you guys had a blast all together...give Gracie a squeeze for me.

I think an arranged marriage is definitely in order. I mean, how could we resist such a great reason to invite Marty and his headlamp to something? That would be totally awesome.

Sounds like a perfect first Halloween with Gracie. That soup looked so creepy.

I think it is just the rule that whenever they are wearing cute outfits they have to have a blowout... but she still looked so cute!
