Sunday Extravaganza

On Sunday Aaron and i had the opportunity to visit with some family and friends(you can tell all these pictures were taken on the same day because i'm wearing a bright red shirt in all of them). We went up to Draper to have dinner with my Aunt Connie and Uncle Alan, the food was delicious, then we had the opportunity to go and visit my Papa Jay who is now living in a assisted living home in Draper. I was so good to be able to visit and catch up with family.

Then Aaron and i went and saw Bridger, Erin and Forest. Forest Curtis field was born Wednesday December 19th, 2007 at 7:45am! 6 lbs 18.5 inches. The little family is doing great!

Time to Jamm-a-late!

I'M DONE WITH FINALS!!! I just thought that you all should know. My plans are to go Christmas shopping (yes, i know its VERY late), watch Grey's Anatomy season 1, Sleep in, and read all the books that have been postponed because of school. I'm so glad to be done, i can already feel my stress levels returning to normal. In the words of my brilliant niece Brooklyn Kate.. "It's time to Jamm-a-late!!!" (jamm-a-late is Brooklyn's way of saying celebrate... i think it's quite catchy!)

Miss Jillian

Today Jillian officially moved away from Provo Utah. Her and Andy will being living in Las Vegas While Andy goes to school. Before she left we had the chance to go to Sonic for tacos and diet cokes, had a little bit of a slumber party, and had a goodbye lunch at the Pizza Factory. Here are our attempts at good pictures after lunch. This is our second attempt at a good picture.
Now a glance back in the day. The BYU football games where we sat by ourselves because we didn't go with a big group to get tickets. Good times.
BYU Homecoming... TNebbs: Fro Yo? Kara: How about Fro NO!
Dang, we're so sexy.
And i still love you even thought you spilled TONS of wax on our dorm room floor.
Good Luck with everything to come! Don't be a stranger, you know we won't, Aaron is already talking about Jack in the Box! Love you!

Finals Week

Okay, i'm not going to lie... finals week makes me feel like this. BUT there is a silver lining to everything, right? Right now i have two finals down with two more finals to go. I feel exhausted mostly because i had a final that started at 7am this morning, BUT i did get the best parking spot possible. Another plus is that my two hardest finals are the ones i've already taken. Woo Hoo!! My next two shouldn't be too bad. So I'm close!

Another Silver lining is being able to sell back the books that cost a bizillion dollars at the beginning of the semester. Today i sold back three books, but they said that they weren't taking two of the three books so i only got five dollars back. I felt a little bummed, but i was too tired to care. I'm putting the money away and the cashier lady says to me "thanks for being a great customer!" and hands me a bag of fun sized 3 musketeers bars. My first thought was "Did i even say anything to this lady?" But i said THANK YOU and walked away with my prize. Everyone deserves a free bag of candy during finals week, don't you think?

Almost Done

Well today was the last day of classes for BYU, and next week we have FINALS! I'm so excited that this semester is almost over i could scream!!! So to all of you who are about to take finals, and to those of you who are finishing up your finals.... GOOD LUCK!!

My mother-in-law and i went out to dinner last night because i was randomly craving the taste of basil, and Aaron was in Salt Lake. We went to Carrabas italian restaurant, and this is what the doggie bag said:
For Heavens sake!! What does a girl have to do around here to escape the temptation? I will say though, i have lost some weight... maybe this no dessert thing isn't so bad after all.

And by the way, for you non-Utah residents...... it's snowing again. (sorry i tried to get the snow falling in the picture, but it didn't turn out too well.)

Sincerely,

The Grinch

The... The.... The.... THE GRINCH!

So......... I think i might be the Grinch, this is a difficult confession for me since i love the Christmas holiday, but lately i have been Miss Crank-fest 2007 (there was a pageant, sorry you missed it). Also, Leandra, i might need to borrow that green pantsuit you have. Remember when Chris called you "The Grinch" sophomore year. It's a pantsuit, its not like your face was green!! hahaha oh well. Anyways, i have my reasons for being cranky which are two-fold..

Reason #1: It is snowing. Don't get me wrong, i love to watch the snow falling, and i like it even better when it cancels school. I might be in college, but it's still exciting. However, with snow comes COLD weather, did you hear me COOOLLLLDDDDDDDDD. So far we haven't had to walk to class in the snow, but it snowed over the weekend and walking to class today i'm pretty sure my ears and arms almost fell off of my body. It's like i want to live in my bathtub for the rest of the season.... I will admit though, i like the whole "everyone snuggle inside and drink hot chocolate because its snowing," aspect of the snow.

Reason #2: I haven't eaten dessert since Thanksgiving. My goal is to get all the way to Christmas day without having eaten dessert. That means no cookies, no candies, no gingerbread men, no chocolate cakes, no Smart Cookie , and no candy canes. For some people this might not seem like a big deal... however, for me, dessert is the best meal of the day. It's my biggest weakness. So after stuffing myself with delicious desserts at Thanksgiving, i figured i would take a break and try to avoid the holiday poundage. I am enjoying the fact that my pants still fit, and are actually getting a little looser (WOOOHOOOOO), however, it comes with a price. Christmas season is practically the dessert season, with candies only made for the holiday, m&m's that are colored green and red (trust me they taste better that way), and cookies EVERYWHERE. I can barely stand the pressure. My mom sent me a package and she included my favorite homemade cookies. I think i almost cried. AND she sent some m&m's which are my stress reliever!! I have the cookies frozen and the m&m's hidden in Mafia Penguin. Just breathe... only 15 more days to go...Ahhhh The Grinch. So my heart might be two sizes too small because i vented some of my grievances, but all in all, i LOVE the holiday season nothing compares to it!!!

Here are some pictures from the get-together we had at the Strombergs. As you can tell the camera was placed somewhere and put it on timer, thus the large amount of window that you see. Burke and Aaron couldn't make it, so Chelsea and I became the Balder's (Barnard and Alder)
I'm not quite sure what is going on in this picture. But it cracks me up.

I hope you all have an incredible holiday season! Enjoy every minute of it (even if its cold!).

Yours Truly,

The Grinch

Christmas Tree Update

I know you are on the edge of your seat to see our Christmas tree with more ornaments on it!
The finished product... well so far!
This is Mafia Penguin. He's a cookie jar that aaron gave to me. We added the Mafia because he looks like he's about to beat someone with his peppermint stick and because he has a top hat on. Top Hat= Mafia Member. You should be careful around Frosty of the Snowman.. he wears a silk top hat.

The Holy War Get-Together

BYU is going to take down the U!Driving to Salt Lake to hang out with some friends. The other traffic is that going TO the actual game which was played in Provo. It was insane at some points.

Hanging out with Kate! And getting the food ready to go.

The Boys, so enthralled with the game and the deep rooted rivalry.
The group watching the game: I was the only BYU fan there. It was a strange situation to be surrounded by people who wanted your team to lose when you want your team to win. But BYU pulled out the Victory, so i left being the only happy one in the bunch.
So as a couple, Aaron and I bleed purple, a little bit of red mixed with a little bit of blue. So there isn't much of a rivalry with us, but its fun to pretend!

Thanks Kate, Derek, Neal, and Kelli, we had a lot of fun hanging out and watching the game with you guys!

Let the Celebration Begin

In my mind the day after Thanksgiving is the day that Christmas celebrating begins. Aaron and i got a really good deal on a Christmas tree at target and decided to buy it. We didn't have a Christmas tree the first year we were married so we're newbie's to the tree situation. The whole time that we have had it (about a week) i've wanted to put it up, due to the fact that the tree increased my Christmas excitement levels. Finally the day after Thanksgiving, when celebrating is allowed to start, we put up our tree!!

The before picture:The building process: (please note the fact that i look like a tired old woman. This is because i rolled out of bed and started working on the tree. I'm not even sure if i'm completely awake in this picture. Decorations are the most important part of my day, who needs breakfast?!)
THE FINISHED PRODUCT!! Aaron's mom had the star on layaway, and said that we could use it, score for us! There are also only 3 ornaments on our tree: two that Aaron and i got in our stockings last year, and one really cute Santa ornament that my grandparents gave to us. Aaron's mom has been ever so kind because she's giving us all her christmas stuff that she doesn't want or need anymore. She gave us these clear ball ornaments, and we spent part of tonight shredding red tissue paper and putting the paper inside the balls, we're a very hip and cool couple to hang out with.
I'm so excited to get more into the Christmas season. I've started listening to all the stations that play Christmas music, and i want to watch all of the Christmas movies we own. Too bad i have to take finals in a few weeks.. But we shouldn't let that damper the Christmas spirit! Aaron and i are also thinking of starting a Christmas cd collection. Any suggestions?

Happy Thanksgiving

This year for Thanksgiving, Aaron and i stayed in Provo to celebrate with Aaron's family. It's their first Thanksgiving after living in Hong Kong for 5 years. It was soo fun, and really laid back. I even had the chance to watch the Macy's Thanksgiving day parade, and i was lucky enough to catch a few parts of the dog show that followed. haha! The food was delicious, and we spent the rest of the night playing cards and watching a Hannah Montana marathon. haha.
Preparing the delicious feast for which we did partake of that glorious day..
The MEN and Rachel celebrating thanksgiving the way the male pilgrims did, by watching football.
Sometimes i pretend that i'm a photographer... Even though this picture isn't technically sound, i still thought it was cool
I hope that you all enjoyed your holiday as much as we did. Happy Thanksgiving!

Now bring on Christmas!!

Pictures Pictures Pictures

I had a bunch of random pictures and i couldn't think of a crafty way to put them together, so i figured i'll make a picture post!

Aaron and i finally got to meet Matt's new girlfriend, Rachel. It was a lot of fun to hang out with them, and Rachel is really really nice. We look forward to hanging out you guys again!
We also got to hang out with Erin and Bridger who we haven't seen since JUNE! Please note how cool we look in this picture...
Brigder is due in december! Ha, just kidding! But Erin is actually due in December. They are expecting a baby boy around the 15th. Forest Curtis Field! We're really excited for you guys and can't wait to meet little Forest!
And what is life without a random everyone-pile-in-the-car trip to smart cookie?
Jason and Jen are pretty happy about the trip.
AND SO ARE WE! (especially Aimee)
Aaron is oh so studious. Actually now that he's signed, things have slowed down. So he was probably checking ESPN.com when this picture was taken.
I thought i'd throw this one in here. This is aaron and i after a dinner with PWC, one of the accounting firms. There's nothing like dressing in business casual, getting a free dinner, then setting your camera on your bookshelf because no one is there to take the picture for you!!
